The post reflects Jereamiah Denton's convictions and he has a right to his conviction just as you have a right to yours.

Absolutely. Denton’s conviction is that the entire American nation should place “top priority” on submission to the will of his imaginary friend. Mine is that submission to hypothetical beings is a matter of personal choice, and that while Denton is welcome to grovel before the hypothetical construct of his choice, the notion that the rest of us ought to do the same is quite risible.

What do you think? Should submission before the unknown will of “Almighty God” be America’s top priority, or should we continue to think for ourselves and make our own choices? If you prefer submission to the will of “Almighty God”, to which of the innumerable and contradictory accounts of that will shall we submit? More to the point, do you think that those politicians who choose to associate with Denton be asked to clarify their own beliefs on the subject, and to declare whether they are loyal to the American people or to Denton’s imaginary friend?

However, I think it is necessary to note that you speak with a great sense of omnipotence when you declare that ". . .nobody on earth knows what the will of Almighty God actually is..."

I think I’m on pretty safe ground there. If you can produce any individual or organization that can supply satisfactory verification of its claim to know the will of Almighty God, though, I will gladly retract it.

Please note that “because we say so” and “because it’s written in our book” do not constitute satisfactory verification, no matter what a Denton or a bin Laden might say.
