I am starting to wonder if maybe you are Michael Moore himself. You seem to hope that if you repeat the same outrageous fabrications over and over again, you'll persuade the credulous, and of course, as H.L. Mencken put it, "nobody ever went broke underestimating the taste of the American public."
Fabrication one: "Everybody knows" that Bush et al never read the NIE.
Fabrication two: Bush should release internal White House documents, briefings by the CIA, so we can learn exactly who the sources were, and what they said, to whom.
I am sure you read the news, so you know that the Supreme Court just ruled in favor of the Bush administration on executive privilege. What the CIA told the White House in briefings is never going to come to light -- maybe in 50 years.
This type of crap is exactly what lead to 9/11. When the Democrats controlled Congress, they castrated the CIA, NSA etc., and made it so that the agencies could not cooperate.
Why? Because they believe that, while government is the best answer to all social needs, intelligence agencies are the enemy.
Weird, that. Leads many to believe that some (not all, but plenty) liberals actually want our intelligence agencies to fail. Could harken back to the old days when Stalinists actually DID infiltrate various governments. But the Cold War is over, so why does it persist?
Trade off between security and freedom -- if you say you know a way around it, if you know how the CIA can tell all it knows without burning sources (literally causing their death), you're a liar. |
