<<America has lost (if your prediction is true), and the kids with two dads or two moms.>>

No, America wins, you lose. Just like 50 years ago with inter-racial marriage. The train only goes one directions: more civil rights.

<< I would say that your charectarazation of that single poll as "many polls" is deceptive.>>

Always attacking the man, such a weak form of debate. You're pathetic.

You just wrote: Feel free to post one of these "many polls".

So i post one and you call me deceptive?

Here's another:

ABC News/Washington Post Poll. March 4-7, 2004. N=1,202 adults nationwide. MoE ± 3 (total sample). Fieldwork by TNS Intersearch.

"Would you support amending the U.S. Constitution to make it illegal for homosexual couples to get married anywhere in the U.S., or should each state make its own laws on homosexual marriage?" Options rotated. Asked of half the sample.

43% say amend, 54% up to states:
% % %
3/4-7/04 43 54 3
2/18-22/04 46 45 9
1/15-18/04 38 58 3

The columns may not line up but this one shows 43% say amend and 54% up to states.

The point being, though most are against gay marriage, that doesn't translate to support of an amendment.
