You're right. I forgot "Body count Johnson". We can also include John (Camelot) Kennedy for getting us into 'Nam, and the subsequent 50,000, or so, deaths. The string is long, although I did have some respect for Harry Truman, although, as today, he called many reservists back to duty during the Berlin Crisis, and tacked a year extra service on all of us during the Korean War(Conflict). Growing up I had only FDR, but in hindsight his management of the depressions was nothing to brag about. Took a great war to bring our country out of the early and late thirties depressions caused, as usual, by trying to tax the country out of them. The first real welfare state, which turned into the Socialist Democratic Party we now have, found root under FDR.
