JF, it reminds me of Kerry saying, "I am personally against abortion," but doing everything he can to protect the availability of the procedure. In this case, he is personally against driver's licenses for illegals, but his spokesman says Kerry won't take any action on a federal level if states want to issue them. In short, Kerry wants it both ways. What good is it to say, "I'm against something," but have none of your actions support any of your stated beliefs? This isn't "nuance," but the mark of a flipper.
