Governments who attained power by offering all kinds of expanded freedoms and utopian ideas

Our Declaration of Independence and Constitution were utopian and radical when written. Imagine this directed to the most powerful King in the world in in 1776! "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal.". Each generation since has codified more freedoms... the abolition of slavery, universal suffrage, voting rights... the list is long and our nation has grown stronger with each generation. Now, for the first time we are considering going backwards, restricting freedom by Constitutional amendment, not enhancing it. If we do so we will be disowning our legacy of freedom.

You have to ask yourself, are those people who are promoting Gay marriage into some of these occult practices who are more interested in their own power than freedoms? You may scoff but there seems to be a historical link between freedom, decadent leaders and destruction. Check out Babylon, Egypt, Rome, Greece, Soviet Union, Communist China, Vietnam, Germany's Third Reich. Is the U.S. next?

Sorry, I don't see what you're linking. Between freedom and Communist China? Rome fell into a long decline hastened by emperors who replaced democratically elected counsels. Occult practices? Wasn't Mrs. Reagan into astrology or something?

That's a big picture you've painted and I need to back away so I can see it all, but, no, I don't think gay marriage will lead to the demise of the republic any more than giving women the right to vote did. What will lead to a decline and fall of America is a failure to embrace our legacy of freedom and pass it to the next generation, as the generation before us did for us.
