Under these trial conditions he was right. But - and I have said this 1000 times, the AIDS drugs themselves are highly toxic and cause AIDS defining illnesses. The phase III trial was conducted on patients who continued to take those drugs, vs. the phase II who were not -- does that not tell you anything?

At the end of the day it does not matter, except a potentially good AIDS drug will never be fully and correctly tested as a sole therapy.

The timing of this release is no accident -- there has to be something else coming down the pipe .. but what it is, who the hell knows.
