JF, Drivers licenses are a states issue, not a federal issue.

I ask again, why should Kerry say he's personally against driver's licenses for illegals if he isn't going to back up his beliefs with action? If his "personal" position concerns national security, then this is too a federal issue, not a state issue.

The obvious answer is that the whole "federal vs. state" thing is just an excuse to have it both ways. I'm not buying it.
