"Besides you lie. I never called one poll many polls."

I didn't lie. But acknowledged that you have "many" polls after you showed me two. Tried to acknowledge that and get back on topic with this:

You're "many" polls seem to reflect this. Note that I never argued otherwise, but that it is too early to tell whether Bush's position has "backfired". Guess we'll see in November. - srexley

"A black man had the same right as a white man: to marry someone of his own race."

I am talking about gay people wanting to change the definition of marriage, not whether blacks could marry whites. Invalid comparison. Blacks had real civil rights issues (you agree to that, don't you?). Gay people do not. They are trying to get a "right" to change the definition of marriage. Most people don't want to do that.

"This wasn't about race,"

If you are going to insist on calling my statements lies, then I think you have to acknowledge a lie here. Marriage is between a man and a woman, and excluding someone based on race is not cool. Gay people can marry to the opposite sex if they would like to. Nobody is stopping them. Try to be honest, Steve.

"Who else can serve in the military only if the they "don't tell" anyone about their sexuality?"

Seems like a reasonable rule to me. Do the straight people have to tell what their sexual orientation is? Why not keep sexuality private? Makes some people uncomfortable.
