Well, as an American, I object to having my taxes pay for this ridiculous war in Iraq - yet, I'm faced with the same choices you are. As for hiring gays, having them educate your kids - these are matters of choice by you. You can home-school your kids, or send them to private schools acceptable to you. As a person who has employed people, I've found it very easy not to employ people I didn't want to, and to get rid of those I was wrong about. I forget the rest of your complaints, but they seemed like straw men to me, easily dealt with using common sense.
