I agree with you. I happen to think uncritical thinking starts with parents, and grandparents- how else to explain the success of Fox News?- surely one of the least critically thinking of the news outlets around. They tell you what to think in every news broadcast- much of the time it's op-ed masquerading as news. It would be much better to see something like the Newshour- where you have pro and con panelists- so you get both sides of the story, but how many people watch PBS? Not many. And I have to tell you, uncritical parents do not want to be confronted by their own children thinking critically. They call that "undermining parental authority".
