It could be a hit to either GM or NM, depending upon the type of Plant Overhead item.

Variable costs hit GM, fixed expenses hit NM.

Plant Overhead consists of variable costs and fixed expenses, where var costs are allocated to inventory (assets) then cogs after sold. While fixed expenses are a charge against income.
