I would agree with that except dems can say they are against gay marriage but against tinkering with the constitution. The key question in all of this is whether gay marriages in Mass will be foisted on all the other states? And whether there are cases on this prior to the election that will enflame the moderate part of the electorate that is anti-gay marriage but also had been anti-amendment. Once Mass gay marriage is foisted on all states, all states will have their own courts making law saying that it is a denial of due process or something if mass marriages accepted buy NY couples cant marry in NY and so on. mike
