Congressional Black Caucus Screws Black Folks - Again By molotov - Booker Rising Blog Illegal immigration hurts black folks the most, as we bear the brunt upon our unemployment statistics. So why is the CBC screwing us? Nine CBC members are co-sponsoring a bill that will legalize illegal immigrants who've lived in the U.S. for at least five years, have a "basic understanding" of English and U.S. culture, and no criminal record. If black folks must follow the law, why do other folks get a pass? Ahem, why reward folks whose first act on U.S. soil is a crime - breaking our laws? And have money come out of black folks' (and others') pockets to pay for their illegal stay, through social services? We don't think so. Folks better pipe up, or else our "leaders" will continue to sell out our interests.
