There is always more downside risk in the short term than in the long term. So your time horizon is an important factor. And I share your concern, short term, especially now.

That aside, to me, more important is what the real PE ratio is, not what Yahoo says it is. What do you think the earnings in fiscal 2005 will be? My guesstimate (pre-split) is in the 2.75 to 3.00 range. (Though I am sure initial guidance will not support that.)
