I see. So you would prefer a world of slaves and torture chambers and genocide, as long as American hands are clean? Freeing people from oppression becomes "imposing our values", as if there is no real difference, it's just a matter of culture, a matter of taste.

In 2002 there were 42,812 traffic fatalities in the United States. Is it hideous that we allow people to drive? Little girls die in traffic accidents, not just wars. Of course we do not want to wage war easily, and we want to kill as few people as possible. But sometimes it is a legitimate policy option to use military force.
