"I agree 100% that President Bush has not stuck to his conservative roots and has allowed the pork and bloated federal government continue to grow. He has not cut 1 federal program. This is appalling."

Don't forget: NOT ONE VETO CAST, and discressionary spending 50% higher then Clinton averaged (and the CBO study says that 'less then 1/2 of that increase can be attributed to War or defense spending').

"But that does not mean that allowing John Kerry...."

You need to consider reality. The reality that, if the Dem ticket is elected, we will have DIVIDED GOVERNMENT.

Even if Kerry wanted to wanted to go on some wild social-spending binge... there is absolutely NO WAY that could happen, what with all spending bills originating in the solidly Republican-controlled House, and Republicans also likely in control of the Senate, as they are now.

He would be EVEN FURTHER constrained by the massive on-going budget deficits left behind by Bush.

In short, there is little 'slush' left to spend, and the vultures are about to come home to roost.

Futhermore, in recent decades, the ONLY TIMES we have EVER made progress on the deficits... was when we had firmly divided government.

Give EITHER Party control of BOTH BRANCHES of government, and they near bankrupt us with their rush to hand out special favors to the largest campaign contributors in their bases, 'special tax preference items', direct subsidies, special brakes, and steaming pork beyond measure.

I would fear a continuation of the present sad state of affairs... not divided government.
