It can be done but why do it? Just use VAR set between 2-16. That is Chande's YIDYA. It is the periods don't have a meaning any more. I guess at VAR(10) is equal to VAR(89) under 5.11. Which was VIDYA using VHF. Chande gave about 4 different ways to do it in his book. When you do it using PREV, you would have to make a formula for any period MA you wanted. That wouldn't be as bad as the excel trick, but I sure am not going to do it. If more people knew what they were missing they would be beating Equis' doors down saying fix it or give us 5.11 version. But many miss all the features there.

BTW: you could thru ole set up the excel version which lacks a lot and you would have to change your periods from Brooke's version to get something usable. But it could automate all the steps and update the chart by linking. But why go to that trouble?
