I said no such thing. If you took anything as meaning that, I apologize.

The loss of bearing and morals and decline of the Roman Empire all come to mind.
So does The Glory That Was Greece. It appears homosexuality was rather common in that culture.

And, since you mentioned Rome, it was rather common there, too. Including the periods when the Empire was being built and when it was at its height.
