Gay marriage should not the important issue; Iraq and postponing the election should be.

Iraq is perhaps the most important issue, but that doesn't mean other issues disappear. Iraq is not so big of national crisis as to require us to suspend all other issues.

Postponing the election shouldn't be a big issue because it isn't going to happen and no one wants it to happen.

Gay marriage was an issue pushed on to the agenda by the left. Once that happened the right responded. Whether or not you agree with the response doesn't change the fact that they didn't bring the issue up, or pick this time to have a debate about it.

Its disgusting the priorities of the right. And you wonder the comparisons to Hitler.

I was unaware that conservatives in the US had such priorities as conquering Europe (or North America if you consider that to be equivalent) and killing Jews.
