A few years ago I was working ten hours a day during the week, and a few hours each weekend. I got home from my office around 6:45 p.m., which left me only about an hour and a half to spend some fun time with my son, bathing and feeding him and putting him to bed. Then I would wolf down some food and go to bed myself. One day it occurred to me that most days I was only spending about one fifth of my life having fun, living, doing what I wanted to do.

Now that will get you depressed.

Lucky for me I had an opportunity to change tracks, scale back my quest for cash, and devote a whole lot more time to what was important. I don't think most people feel that they have that option.
