In fact, the instability in Yugoslavia began to stir up the people of Macedonia, a portion of which is in the borders of Greece. No one wants a civil war on its doorstep particularly when that war is being led by a tyrant.
To think otherwise is being ridiculous.

So why, then, is preemptive action ok in THIS case? They just felt threatened? They weren't actively attacked? There wasn't a UN resolution??? Because France and Germany said it's ok????

Come on, Brian, you are not this stupid. If you don't understand the difference between what happened in Iraq and what happened in Kosovo, then there is no point in discussing the matter. If the problem is the meaning of the word, pre emptive, then look the word up.

Because it wasn't us?

No, we had commitments under an alliance that we were fulfilling.

Pot, kettle, black. At least this time we had a UN resolution.

Your kidding yourself if you think these two military altercations were the same things.
