Ann, I don't need a lecture in education. I have been through that process in a foreign country. In fact, a good education is what brought me here. My children have gone through the public education system here. And may i dare to say that as far as education is concerned, this country has a very good base education system; the public schools etc. It is a shame that teachers in this society are not respected. That this country guarantees access to educational opportunities for every citizen should make all of us feel proud. But a lot still remains to be done to make it the "best in the world" way above all the other nations. And "No Child Left Behind" is retrogressive. After all what does Bush know. he has not taken responsibility in his life for anything. So how would he know a good plan from a bad one.
