It wasn't bad intel; he lied. The Senate refuses to look into the issue until after the election.
Unsubstantiated Ad hom attack.
Do a google.....there is a lot of substantiation.
Really? Should we set up concentration camps as well?
I'll use your own quote from later..."Black or white? Raise them or lower them? Never an in between?"
I guess there is no in between for you on on security. You're dense if you think anything we are doing compares to a concentration camp. Do you think Bush has a lamp on his desk made with the skin of a terrorist??
No, I don't think he knows exactly what goes on in Gitmo, and I think that's the way he likes it.
Did you know that we kept three kids under 14 there for two years? Why?
On the taxes, what is your in between? Leave them be and do nothing to help the economy? Politically easy I guess, but worthless.
I don't believe tax cuts did squat. Three hundred dollars per family? Do you honestly believe that's what made the difference? I think its why we have languished for the last three years......in a kind of economic limbo....not in or out of recession.
And trust me when I tell you that we will pay the price down the road for all the budget deficits he is racking up.
Not funny.....typical of the right; if you don't agree, then you must be the enemy. And they laugh when I say we are close to civil war.
I don't think scientists are the enemy. Where would you get that? I do believe lots of environmental scientists are also whacko liberals though. It's hard to take them at face value.
You need to look over the list of scientists in question.....they were not wacky, liberal scientists. Most scientists are not liberal. Like I said, its the GOP's way or the highway. Sorry if you don't see the black and white of your position.
Huh? There has been no peace! The war goes on.......a war ole Rummie was not prepared for.
Black and white again Ted?
No. Reality.
The war portion (where formations of troops are attacking one another with the use of tanks etc.) went better than anyone could have hoped. The rest is a "police action" type affair, and it is of course a different animal. A very difficult animal too. This is the only part you can fault the Bush admin on at all. They deserve a lot of credit for the rest (but I'm not holding my breath).
War ends when there is peace. There is no peace in Iraq.
No, they didn't.......again, you watch too much Fox.
Afghanistan didn't have to happen either?? I must hear what your response to 9/11 would have been. Cry to the UN? Put sanctions on Afghanistan? Real effective.
Afghanistan had to happen because we wanted revenge for 9/11. So if it happened, why not finish the job and do it well?
The war is one of those expenses you have to deal with. Sort of like if a storm blows in your window.
Yeah. A war we started.......
Well, terrorism is out there, and sometimes it takes a war to stop it. I guess you'd side with France then "There is nothing that would justify war".
Yup. There is very little that justifies war; in fact, only an invading army or a flotilla of missiles.
That's right.......I have never seen a gov't that can't be too clean of religion. But Bush is trying and we are fighting back.
I'll ask you again, in what ways is Bush making the government more religious? This is another unsubstantiated exaggeration and attack.
On the contrary, he has worked diligently to get religion into the gov't with Christian prayer sessions in the WH; pushing to get more faith based religious social service groups to get gov't funding....not based on competence but on their religious faith; he has spoken on numerous occasions of his talks with God, and on at least one occasion, it was thought he said God responds to him; I think the S. Baptists were getting ready to make him a head of their church but thought better of it. Congress now has prayer sessions. There are many more instances where Bush or the GOP have been pushing religion into the gov't; after all, it was the GOP that got the "under God" included in the pledge.
And here are some more examples:
"I mean, one of the real challenges we've had, of course, is to say to the faith community, "Come in, the social service money is available for you and oh, by the way, you can keep the cross on the wall or the Star of David in your temple without fear of government retribution." I think we're getting there. I mean, this is a cultural change in government too, by the way. It's been a mighty struggle to convince people of the wisdom of the policy."

Bush Campaign Wants Church Lists
"WASHINGTON (Reuters) -- President Bush, seeking to mobilize religious conservatives for his reelection campaign, has asked church-going volunteers to turn over church membership directories, campaign officials said on Thursday."

"He is, by most accounts, the most openly religious president in generations. What are the core elements of his faith? How has it affected his personal life and political career? And how has faith shaped the president's views on God and government and America's role in the world? Here are the thoughts of some people who have closely observed or interviewed Bush: Doug Wead, a Bush family friend; Wayne Slater, a reporter for The Dallas Morning News; John C. Green, author of Religion and the Culture Wars; Steve Waldman, editor-in-chief of Beliefnet; and Jim Wallis, editor-in-chief of Sojourners Magazine."

"And I don't intend to compromise either. (Applause.) I have worked for a faith-based initiative to rally and encourage the armies of compassion. I will continue to work with Congress on this agenda. But the needs of our country are urgent and, as President, I have an authority I intend to use. (Applause.) Many acts of discrimination -- many acts of discrimination against faith-based groups are committed by Executive Branch agencies. And, as the leader of the Executive Branch, I'm going to make some changes, effective today. (Applause.)"
