Our Company is a an industrial coatings manufacturer. A lot of the raw materials we use have been put on 'allocation'. That is you can only get a fixed percentage of your previous years purchases. Most of these products are oil based (solvents for example. And of course the prices are rising for the products you can get. And for the first time ever (these things have happened before) our suppliers are saying this IS NOT a short term blip - this is a significant long term shift in supply/demand. One supplier rep was in today and mentioned that they get a lot of processed materials from China - now, they are having trouble getting the products because of the energy issues at their Chinese plants.

Just more coal for the train so to speak...
