How people feel about abortion and gay marriage has become a sort of litmus test, she says, and she has a harder and harder time relating to those people who come down on the opposite side of the debate.

Blaming this on the Reps is nuts. When we were the minority, there was no litmus test because it wouldn't have mattered anyway, we'd lose. Now that we're the majority (a small one), there is a litmus test, because the opposition Democrats use it to shoot down our nominees.

She's a feeler, not a thinker.
