Hi, I have been trading e-minis, mainly ES, for the past couple of years. My overall experience is, there are too many transactions and I am paying a lot on commissions, but in the end there is not much of a profit or loss, after commissions.

When I enter a position, I set a stop loss for two points, else take a profit after 5 points, whichever comes first. Many times, it hits my stop loss target, though at the end of the day, it moves in the direction, I originally intended it to move. When I look at my transactions over a few weeks/months, I see ES has barely moved, but I have too many transactions. Whatever profit/loss I have, it is a just a tiny amount.

So I wonder is it worth my time/effort, or, I should just do more position trading, rather than try intraday scalping. (Experience shows, once I enter a position trade, it will be a short-medium term bottom/top, opposite to my position).

Can anyone share their opinion / experience or I am the only one experiencing it this way?

Thanks...
