Dipy, I don't know if you've looked at a map, but Afghanistan does not have a seaport. Dave, Well said. I have found most American civilians cannot locate all the states on a map much less understand world geography. And those who do not will never comprehend the limitations geography places on military logistics. You are right. Getting military supplies to Afghanistan (even for our relatively small force) continues to take an enormous logistical effort. uw
