Mike Buckley had good questions about the the film legacy and its remaining endurance.

I don't remember anything about that but I'm ashamed to admit that I finally succumbed to pressure from Frank and bought a digital camera. :) I will continue to use my film-based camera for important photography for very special reasons that would apply at most to 0.1% of photographers.

Qcom is the CDMA gorilla, and will someday become the gorilla of wireless communications, I hope.

I could be completely wrong, but I still don't have any reason to think there will be a Gorilla of wireless communications. As for it being the CDMA Gorilla, I still think that's true only with regard to the CDMA architectures that are proprietary and open.
