I agree it is sheer fantasy to believe that it is the US that will be on trial. However, until convinced to the contrary, I am somehow inclined to believe that there may be some extenuating circumstances for Saddam. These might not get him off the hook, though. To be sure, we will have to wait for the final verdict. If the lies perpetrated by the Bushies are any indication of what might happen, it behoves us to be highly objective and practise suspended judgement until everything is exposed. In the interests of natural justice and fairness let us hope that nothing will be kept under wraps.
