I'm thinking the story is a fraud. The thumb-across-the-throat gesture is the most incredible part of the story to me.

People aren't as paranoid about flying as they were in the months after 9/11, but I still think that had an arabic person actually done that, he would have five guys pounding the crap out of him in a matter of seconds.
