I doubt if there is any issue that the secular left gets madder about than people who combine Christianity with politics. They don't see any problem with combining their anti-Christianity with politics. The "Christian" action that I consider the worst I have ever seen is the Presbyterian Church's decision to ban investments of Church funds in companies that do business with Israel. The leadership has go so far left that it was "matter of course" for this to happen. To show you how far out this decision is, when the Harvard faculty proposed it, the Harvard President gave a speech saying that this was anti-semitic. I hope the Church members explode over this.
