It's good to see that not everyone is pleased about Stewart's conviction. I lived near her for years, saw her regularly at stores, tag sales; she catered a party given in my honor. Can she be high-handed? You betcha. Did she do something stupid, greedy? Yes. Was it illegal? I'll accept the verdict.

But the sentence is nothing more than the worst sort of piling-on by a public who'd sooner watch a stoning than pick up a book.
