If it was a US based carrier I believe they would have said "North American Carrier" thus my thinking is a European telco. And with the BT/MCI mess I suspect BT may be interested.  Time will tell - and indeed if it is any major carrier it will be a real coupe. Regards ****************************************************************  In response to a request from The Toronto Stock Exchange for an explanation for the recent rise in its common stock price, Claude Samson, Executive Vice-President, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer, AlphaNet Telecom Inc. ("AlphaNet"), reports that it resumed Beta testing of its telecommunications network in the second half of July. Three carriers are currently participating in the test and others are to be added in the coming weeks prior to commencement of commercial service. AlphaNet also stated that it has entered into a letter of intent with a foreign international telecommunications carrier with a view to negotiating a possible debt/equity investment into AlphaNet.
