Ray,
RE: 911inplanesite.com
Just curious if you've seen the film, or have seen any reviews on it. I noticed the source is "The Power Hour", which would cause me to wonder if it's a straight 9/11 documentary, or a sermon with 9/11 as the topic. I've run across a few sites which mix religion with 9/11, and no offense meant to anyone, and no attack intended on anyone's spiritual beliefs, but my view is the two subjects are incompatible.
For all practical purposes, what most Americans have come to believe about 9/11 has turned into a new religion. The shamans on CNN told them Osama is the devil, and they believe. Bush told them he's their savior, and they believe. The government shamans told them it's blasphemous to question the new religion, and they have stopped asking questions. Their ministers with the talking heads promised them the final answers, and they came to believe they know the truth.
IMO, denouncing the new religion is enough of an uphill battle all by itself without introducing additional issues which many people react to with equal emotion. For whatever reason, most people really don't believe pure evil exists in the real world. For them, evil is, and always has been, a nameless dread held at arms length, with no real power to touch them or cause them harm in their daily lives. Presenting them with evidence the danger is not at arms length, in some far away place, but is right next door where it may strike them at any time, and the source of that danger is one they trust, is more than most of them will be able to accept. |
