Emile - if I ascribed to the "authority" of church creeds as you have just prescribed - I could not believe in Preterism. At that point I would have to agree that Jesus and the Apostles were wrong about when Christ would return. At that point I would have to ask - if they could be so wrong about something that important - what else could they have been wrong about. At that point scripture itself looses all Authority. We are left trust church counsels who have often contradicted one another as even Luther pointed out. At that point we are left without any reliable means of knowing truth At that point we are left without truth. Jesus is the truth - we are left without Him. I am sorry "Historical Creeds" are the works of men's hands. They become idolatry - the church does not save Christ saves. Brian
