good evening bearded one--

what's significant here is not whether wp8 is 4 or 5, but whether it's doing better than microsoft office, and microsoft office is a heavy percentage of msft revenues.

mike help us out here. the question of msft office's contribution to msft revenues has been debated on the "other" thread - the sunw/msft one. if msft (godzilla) derives a large (50% has been mentioned on that thread) percentage of revenues from office, and if wp8 (the micronano nongodzilla) is beating office in the retail market, what does this say for cosff's revenues in q4?

there's a disconnect here, and it isn't isn't solved by the retort that wp8 is selling cheaper than ms office. the disparity in the absolute revenue numbers is too great to be compensated for the difference in selling price for the two suites.

anybody have any ideas? ah,isn't this in your ballpark?

tom
