Dear COMMITTEE members , I am in the process of setting up a web page for the thread. I would like vote on the following issues: 1) Do we need a domain name of the form whatever-name-we-chose.com ? 2) Are we willing to pay a nomial fee of say $30 per month for this service? There may also be a set up fee in the order of less than $100 as we need to get domain name registered in our name through the company which is responsible for it. Note: There are companies which allow us to set up a free web page. But I belive in the principle "you don't get something reliable for free". 3) Would you like to chose a concise and meaningful name for the domain? This is name that will appear in the URL. You may suggest a name. 4) Who will mainitain it? (I am willing to set up and maintain for free.) 5) This page may not be ready for another couple of weeks as I have to go through all the usual set up proceedure with whoever I rent a virtual host facility. Is it acceptable? 6) Any recommendation for a reliable web page hosting service provider? Your response at the earliest will be apprecited greatly.
