LOL. In both cases I told the parties what I had done after the fact and they said "no problem." "No problem" is hardly the case with classified material, though.

you should have asked

I'm sure she would have preferred my taking it and returning it without her notice than my waking her up to ask for it given that the likelihood of her minding by borrowing/stealing it was negligible. <g>
