Today the market traded higher with an increased spread on sustained volume closing near it's highs in a neutral position. Todays advance found investors following the speculative pressure to the upside, which is the first positive move in several weeks from this important group.

While today's move is positive for the bullish case the absence of significantly higher volume during todays move was a missing factor. Additional upside progress tomorrow on higher volume with closes in the upper third of a good spread is needed for the bulls. A rally on lower volume and decreased spread in the coming days is what the bears are looking for.

At this time the latter is the most likely scenario in the near term.
