Holly - I lived in San Francisco at the time of '89 earthquake. That was incredible. I'd forgotten how much damage was done to Santa Cruz. I lived in the L.A. area and we had a fairly bad one when I was there. Don't remember the year. But it was small time in comparison. You get so used to the small ones living in those areas. I remember how shocked I was when I went out in my car and had the radio on. I was seeing the damage around me and hearing about the Bay Bridge. The realization that this was one of the big ones started sinking in fast. I like to alternate worship with a good dose of irreverence. Some might consider that blasphemy. If he mixes both in a book on computers, sounds all the more interesting to me. jp
