What's wrong with working for minimum wages at Home Depot

Nothing at all. It's just many of the plus 40's age in the UK are capable of so much more. I remember reading DJ mentioning several of his contacts in the plus fifty age group in Germany just cannot find work. I'll be entering the plus fifty group in a few months, and I suffered some employment difficulties a few years ago when I was canned from my high paid engineering job. I've adapted though, and know how to earn reasonable bucks outside the manufacturing industry. I am in a minority of people who make the transition I think.

I saw the CV's of loads of folks who were applying for the jobs I resigned from on my climb back up the earnings ladder. Wow, some ex senior guys fell bad. I seriously doubt AC flyers contention that the older experienced people getting back into the work force are contributing to greater and higher efficiencies.

Older workers, with greater experience and skills, generate higher rates of productivity than younger workers so we should expect to see the current high levels of productivity maintained.

Nah, I disagree. Few are willing to listen to real improvement ideas. I have a poor view of those systems in place in the recruitment circuit. It's not that I have a problem myself. I'm OK jack thank you. Just I don't see the wonderful efficiencies happening as is.
