I haven't heard a good explanation yet. That one of yours doesn't hold water if the documents were copies.

It's all very curious. I still favor the one of wanting to study the documents in a comfortable and convenient location. The reason I favor it probably is simply that I can, from experience, relate to it. If you had various versions of long documents. You'd want to spread them on your dining room table along with a glass of merlot. What is harder to explain is how some of them came to be returned and not others. TWT.
