Jay, here's the problem. <Jiang Zemin, China's military chief and former (and current unofficial) leader, appeared particularly agitated about the Taiwan question during a meeting with Rice at the Zhongnanhai leadership compound, according to official U.S. background briefings. It was said that Jiang had given the American delegation the impression that the leadership in Beijing was still struggling to agree on a strategy for grappling with Taiwan's president.>

Jiang doesn't want a damn girl telling him what he can and can't do and he is the boss and nobody else is the boss. He won't let go of power because he's power-mad. One only needed to watch him at the silly 50th celebrations, riding up and down like a tin-pot dictator in his USSR-looking limousine, calling Sieg to the crowd and having them reply Heil [or whatever it was in Chinese].

Going quietly into dignified old age is not for him.

How the heck can Hu Jintao keep things on the rails with the old coot messing it up? Maybe he should show him movies of USA cruise missiles flying in particular targeted windows, where a murderous, aggressive, dictator might be sleeping.

Condoleezza Rice is an attractive woman and maybe he feels it's all wrong that she is hen-pecking him, and they aren't even married, and she's better looking than his wife, and it's all not right that the foreign devils are once again pushing China around over an internal matter, namely Taiwan. "And a female at that!! What is the world coming to? Well, I'm not going to stand for it. I'll give her a piece of my mind. And order the troops to get ready to retake Taiwan".

I suppose they'll all buy CDMA and cancel the war and live happily ever after. Maybe I should buy Jiang Zemin a CDMA2000 cyberphone to calm him down.
