Bill, it seems to me that though the NSA is doing a good job of monitoring international telephone calls, it seems daunting if not impossible for the NSA to be able to monitor emails, IMs and, soon, VoIP calls, particularly if they are encrypted. The traffic is simply too large.

We'll soon see the use of one time pads and coded messages being delivered orally, neither of which can be deciphered.
