How can you say that?

You have only visited one of the three countries

Shows how ignorant you are. The northwestern part of India is very close to the other two countries. And if you live there for a while, you can get to meet and know about people from all of the neighboring countries. In fact the division between India and Pakistan is entirely artificial, and there are people in Indian Panjab that have relatives in Pakistani Panjab.

Historically, there are strong ties between India and Afghanistan (the Afghan town Kandahar is referred to as "Gaandhaar" in Indian books). There are also strong religious and cultural ties between Indian Kashmir and the northwestern region of Pakistan (and that is where Osama bin Laden is believed to be now).

But what does it have to do with Afghan culture?

The religious differences between India and Afghanistan doesn't mean that they are culturally far apart. Heck, even among the Muslims, the motto is "Me against my brother, but my brother and I against the stranger".

Btw, were you able to figure out why it is an insult in Afghan society to offer a bounty to capture a thief?

And just to see if you know anything more than what the encyclopedia says, what do you think is the historic role of the Vindhyas in terms of differentiating the culture between north and south India? (Assuming that you know who or what Vindhyas is, that is!)
