JF, You judge the man by the value of his actions and their results, not just because he did something. You seem to admire action regardless of it's outcome.
First of all, I agree that Bush should be judged by the results, because if anything, he's a man of action who prefers to let the results speak for themselves. And they are.
Secondly, I don't think things in Iraq are as bad as the media portrays it to be. Nor do I think Osama is cackling in glee, nor do I think he somehow knew all this would happen, nor do I think everything that has happened somehow falls right into his hands.
And third, when it came to terrorism pre-9/11, inaction has always been a very desirable alternative because of the nature of dilemma. Post-9/11, inaction no longer seems desirable. Or at least we now know the cost of inaction, and many of us would rather live with the consequences of doing something over those of doing nothing.
You wear it on your sleeve Ten, it's part of who you are and it's part of your posts. I'm certainly not anti-Christan, in fact I contribute to more than one Christian charity.
That's no excuse. By your standards, I also wear my Asian heritage on my sleeve, John. Would you like to make blanket statements about "us Asians" as well?
In any case, what we were arguing about had absolutely nothing to do with religion. Yet you attack my faith just because you got upset at some of my admittedly snide comments. If you're going to attack me personally, at least attack me for supposedly being a "neocon" or whatever. <G>
