Dog story-- Did your Golden shy awayfrom him?

Actually since I greeted him in the front yard she only barked (I didn't let him in the back <gg>) once she sees the person is a friend of mine she automatically assumes the person may throw something for her to fetch! But she's now seven and got hit by a car when she was a year old and it busted her pelvic area up pretty bad, so she may have arthritis now and I need to get her checked. Vet said after the accident it would probably develop later in her life. She has a slight limp now at times but still wants to constantly retrieve, obviously it's in their genes. She's a miracle dog!

She's okay around little ones but I don't really trust her anymore if they became rough. A friend of mine had a chow years ago and it bit his 3 year old right above the eye, 40+ stitches! I had warned him numerous times that his kid was being rough with the dog, kid was lucky to have come out with only a scar from that.
