My wife went and saw Linda Ronstadt last night. She bought the tickets a while ago. Her very conservative aunt joined her.

She kept things pretty apolitical at first.....Mrs. McKie said that it was clear she was going to address it right up front, but all she said was "so....anyone see any good movies lately?". Kinda reminiscent of Pee Wee Hermans come back after the movie theater incident.

but, she couldn't leave well enough alone....she started railing against all of the enron execs and making the connection to the Bush admin. Of course, completely forgetting that it was the Clinton Admin that encouraged executive malfeasance and that it was the Bush admin that has been cleaning up the mess. And of course, she felt that Martha Stewart was being mistreated, in spite of the fact that she was on the board of the NYSE and should have freakin known better.

She then went off stage before her encore and then came back out with a large bouquet of flowers from her good friend Michael Moore.

She was booed when she started going off on the enron execs. Many in the audience were saying "just sing your freakin songs"....but others responded with "say whatever you want linda".
