GOP Beats Democrats in Black Speakers

The Republican National Committee has announced its convention program speakers thus far. They include Lt. Gov. Michael Steele (MD), Miss America 2003 Erika Harold, and Education Secretary Rod Paige.

Mind you, the GOP convention ain't until late August. The Dems' event begins this weekend. Blacks accounted for 25%+ of total ballots cast for Al Gore in 2000, but how many were on the Dems' prelim speakers list? Zero. After BET and others called them out, they added U.S. Senate candidate Barack Obama to give the keynote speech. However, he won't be on network TV.
